What to do if a caller needs help?

If a caller needs emergency help - perhaps you think they have had a heart attack or they have fainted, please immediately call 07930222121. Please keep the line open so you can continue to try to communicate with the caller.

We will then trace the call and call the emergency services if required. Please do not call the emergency services yourself as you will have no details on the caller.

If a caller doesn't need emergency help, but you think that they need assistance. Please offer them the following helplines. As an operator you are not fully trained to provide health or mental health information and that is why its very important that we connect them to the best charity/agency to help them.

Samaritans - telephone: 116 123

24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline - telephone 0808 2000 247

Frank Drug Support: 0300 123 6600

NHS Non emergency: 111

National Debtline: 0808 808 4000
